What is Radio Frequency Testing?

Radio frequency testing, or RF testing, is a form of lab testing that’s used to determine how effectively an electronic device makes use of the radio frequency spectrum. It’s a critical form of testing for verifying that electronic devices don’t cause radio frequency interference, which can affect the performance and function of other devices and equipment. 

Almost all countries and markets, including the United States and the European Union, require electronic devices to undergo RF testing to achieve regulatory compliance, such as for FCC Part 15 or the European Conformity (CE) mark. Radio frequency testing is also a mandatory requirement in markets such as Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea and numerous other countries.

What Devices Need to Complete RF Testing?
